The Tiptronic system gives the driver opportunity of manual gear shifting.

In a position D shift the selector to the right for Tiptronic mode inclusion (fig. 1.112) .
Slightly push the selector forward + for inclusion of higher transfer.
Slightly push the selector back – for inclusion of lower transfer.
At dispersal the automatic transmission is switched automatically from 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 transfers to higher transfer directly ahead of that moment when the engine will gather the most admissible number of turns.
If to choose lower transfer, switching will occur only when there will be no danger of a perekrutka of the engine.
Manual gear shifting – «Tiptronic» (rychazhka on a steering wheel)
If the selector is in a position D or S, at impact on one of rychazhok on a steering wheel the automatic transmission passes to a mode of manual control of "Tiptronic".

Tighten the right rychazhok + to a steering wheel for gear shifting up (fig. 1.113) .
Tighten the left rychazhok – to a steering wheel for gear shifting down.
Approximately through 15 спосле the last impact on one of rychazhok the transmission is automatically switched to earlier chosen program D or S.

The position of the selector is shown as sideways from the selector, and on the display of an instrument guard (fig. 1.114) .

If switching of transfer was carried out by manual control of "Tiptronic", on the display only the indication of this transfer (fig. 1.115) .

R – Lay (parking) blocking
At such position of the selector driving wheels of the car are mechanically blocked.
To transfer the selector to a position of lay blocking it will be possible only at неподвижномавтомобиле.
Upon transition to a position P and an exit from it it is necessary to press the blocking button (in the selector handle) and at the same time to press a brake pedal.
At the discharged accumulator to deduce the selector from a position P it will not be possible.

R–Backing
In this position of the selector backing transfer is included.
To transfer the selector to a position of a backing it will be possible only at the motionless car and operation of the engine idling.
Upon transition to a position R it is necessary to press the button of blocking and at the same time to press a brake pedal. In a selector R position at the included ignition backing lamps burn.

N–Neutral situation
At this position of the selector the transmission is in an idling mode; there is no transfer of effort to driving wheels and there is no braking by the engine.
Never transfer the selector to a position N at movement under a bias – thus there is no braking by the engine. The working brake system tests too strong tension.
At movement under a bias at a position of the selector N and the switched-off engine the automatic transmission can fail.

D–A position for long advance (the normal program)
At such position of the selector all transfers of a forward course are automatically switched up and down. Nature of switchings is defined by engine loading, your style of driving and speed of movement. At movement in mountains on such position of the selector brake possibilities of the engine are minimum. On the display the chosen position of the selector D and the transfer included at present are shown.
When translating selector from a position N in a position D at speed 5 km/h are lower and on the motionless car it is necessary to press a brake pedal.

S–A position for long advance (the sports program)
At this position of the selector all transfers of a forward course are automatically switched later up and earlier down for complete use of engine capacity. Nature of switchings is defined by engine loading, your style of driving and speed of movement. At movement in mountains on such position of the selector brake possibilities of the engine are minimum. On the display the chosen position of the selector S and the transfer included at present are shown.

ATTENTION
At car movement with the switched-off engine and the selector in a position N the automatic transmission fails in the absence of greasing.

NOTE
If during movement you casually transferred the selector to a position N, it is necessary to clean a foot from a pedal of gas and to wait engine idling, before returning the selector back in a position D.
Selector blocking

NOTE
Blocking of the selector prevents casual transfer of the selector to one of positions of movement and, thereby, an uncontrollable troganiye of the car from a place.

For removal of blocking of the selector press and hold in the pressed situation a pedal of a brake and at the same time press the blocking button at the left on the selector handle.
Blocking of the selector is included only at the motionless car and at speed of movement to 5 km/h. At higher speed selector blocking in situation N is automatically switched off.
When translating selector through a position N (for example, from R in D) the selector is not blocked. Thanks to it "rocking" of the got stuck car is possible, for example. If the selector at not pressed pedal of a brake is more long than one second in a position N, selector blocking joins.
